Very early on in my 15-year painting career, I became totally focused on delivering truly detailed painting.
SpecialtyLux’s standards are luxury standards at an affordable cost. Everyone on the team knows I have promised my clients a high-quality finish.

Our definition of high-quality:

1.Fill Minor holes, cracks, and deficiencies within “reason” professionally. This means indenting the wall before filling, or doing multiple coats if necessary, on troublesome defects.
It is not unusual to see how well the holes were filled until you paint them, in which case we would hit them again or catch them in our Quality Control.

2.Sanding all surfaces, this is extremely rewarding as it is remarkable how much bite the paint gets from just a little effort; it’s necessary! It opens pores on many surfaces/substrates and, in the same stroke, removes/cleans the walls.

3. ‍ Stain blocking: Some bathrooms, kitchens, and select areas (children’s rooms) may need more than just sanding! It’s as simple as using Dawn soap to degrease, tackle stains, or clean up a spill. Follow up with some stain blocker for areas that have seen a lot of action, especially high-moisture bathrooms and kitchens!

4.4. Apply two coats of high-quality paint.

Paint matters more than people think. You don’t want something that looks good for a month but can’t be cleaned or touched without marking up.

We stick to durable, washable paints that actually hold up. High-quality modern paints are water-based with strong acrylic resins now, so they bond well, clean up nice, and last.

Two coats is standard for a reason: it evens everything out and gives you that solid, consistent finish.
